Decipher the liberating commercial for 7.3 here: <a href=" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00285« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00285</a 7.3.1: <a href=" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00289« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00289</a 7.3.2: <a href=" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00291« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00291</a 7.3.3: <a href=" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00292« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://bkhome.org/news/?viewDetailed=00292</a A compact commercial for 7.4: Quirky Linux portrayal 7.4 is released. This is the latest in the «Werewolf» series, built with binary packages from Ubuntu 15.10 (and compatible with the obese Ubuntu pack repositories), that started with portrayal 7.3, followed by 7.3.1, 7.3.2 and 7.3.3 bugfix releases. Portrayal 7.4 brings greater changes in the induction, come to someone's rescue-hearing and init (in the initrd) scripts, contribution more adaptable continuous modes for the red-hot-CD and mean installations, and simpler induction. The pack abstract is mostly the same as 7.3.3, except that the VLC media better has been dropped in sponsor of XINE, and bugs in some packages are firm. A crowded commercial and liberating notes can be set up here: <a href=" http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/werwolf — 7.4-announce.htm« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/werwolf — 7.4-announce.htm</a Decipher about how to fix in place Quirky here: <a href=" http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/install-quirky.htm« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/install-quirky.htm</a Initial download: <a href=" http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/</a Note that the installer screenplay offers to download the .iso line, if not already, however it does so from ibiblio.org which is very simple. Praise download from a reproduction orientation, such as nluug: <a href=" http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/distr/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/distr/quirky/quirky6/amd64/releases/werewolf — 7.4/</a Then run the installer. Bugs There are a link I know of: 1. Xine hangs. I switched over from VLC as XINE plays my video assay files much better. However, if XINE is closed via the menu, it leaves behind a zombie modify that cannot be killed, and even prevents shutdown! Always closely guarded XINE by clicking the closely guarded-box at top-right of window. If anyone can role that one out, please do! 2. If you use the installer to do a crowded fix in place to a stall, at first bootup a popup communiqu tells you that you have booted from a red-hot-CD. Non-Poisonous communiqu, just an irritant, and I will fix it. Feedback Please go to this piece of yarn in the Puppy Forum, for all bug reports and examination: <a href=" http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=876263#876263« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=876263#876263</a Added notes I have only released a 64-bit erect, so Quirky will not run on some old Pentium CPUs that are 32-bit only.
