Among the new features / improvements are: Ubuntu 14.04 ships with Resemblance Authority Center and Resemblance Settings Daemon, forked from GNOME Authority Center and GNOME Settigns Daemon so it doesn«t poke one»s nose in with Ubuntu GNOME; Resemblance now uses GTK3 CSS themed window decorations, instead of the Compiz decorations. The new medal foundation shapely GTK 3 theming and they suggest improved resizing go like greased lightning and anti-aliased corners as well as a fix for an old regression: the panel is now right-clickable when a window is maximized with epidemic menu enabled, displaying the same menu that's available when right clicking an unmaximized window titlebar (lets you reduce, unmaximize, set the window always on top, get cracking to workspace, etc.); two years after this quality was first announced (and then debauched), Resemblance eventually got locally integrated menus (LIM). Locally integrated menus are displayed in the window decorations for unmaximized windows, instead of the defect Resemblance come near which is to splash the menu on the top panel. There is one fetich that the defect Resemblance menu and LIM have in mean: both are displayed on mouse over and there«s no privilege to set up the menu forever apparent, at least not yet. LIM can be enabled via Combination Settings > Arrive > Behavior > Arrive the menus for a window > in the window»s term bar; Resemblance Spread (triggered by clicking on an relevance icon in the Launcher which already has nave and has multiple windows or for all unfenced windows, by pivotal WONDERFUL + W) has received foundation for filtering windows by term. The search players is not displayed by defect in the Resemblance Spread, but as soon as you start typing, the windows are filtered by their term and a Frustrate-like search is displayed on top of the spread view; Resemblance got its own lockscreen, designed to look like the Resemblance Greeter (login sieve); a lot of HiDPI employment: Resemblance got improved foundation for HiDPI , though from what I«ve study, there are still some bugs regarding this (and I can»t assay it since I don't have an squiffy pixel density splash). The UI enlarge can be set from Combination Settings > Displays; you can now set Resemblance to allow minimizing applications by clicking their icons in the Resemblance Launcher. This privilege is not enabled by defect and it can be enabled via CompizConfig Settings Administrator (Resemblance Plugin > Launcher > Reduce Sole Window Applications (Unsupported)). This quality only works for sole-window applications so if an relevance has two windows, it won't work; «live» window resizing. Until now, resizing windows in Resemblance would only splash a chassis with the new window range and the physical resize would only materialize after you were done resizing the window but starting with Ubuntu 14.04, the windows are resized in trustworthy time; the defect Ubuntu 14.04 themes (Ambiance and Effulgence) no longer use window borders; Resemblance epidemic menu can now be lame for unique applications (via Dconf for now); the Resemblance launcher can be scaled down to 8px ========================================
