Pecker Bruford — Dig? (1989) EAC rip (cosy set-up) | FLAC+CUE+LOG -> 303 Mb Complete Artwork @ 300 dpi (jpg) -> 10 Mb When Pecker Bruford emerged from Yes, his name as a drumming motto was decisively established. He then went on to perfect and develop his individualistic faculty and luxury with Crowned Head Crimson. His employment, while not as commercially victorious as those bands, has also been awe-inspiring. His explorations with Allan Holdsworth continued to keep on the fusion torch with nobleness. Never one to turn up on his laurels, Bruford continued to search for different contexts in which to press his lilting and percussive ideas. This struggle, with his platoon Earthworks, is a cogent struggle. The deviate from between the historic horns (saxophone and french horn) sounds b against the electronic percussion and synthesizer that is used heavily throughout the term. There is an ECM seem to most of the selections here, especially with deference to Ralph Towner's Depressed Sun recording (in particular the turn a blind eye to «C.T. Kangaroo»). «Gentle Persuasion» is one of the more melodic songs on this set, and along with «Downtown,» is the only one that leaves a durable sensation. Bruford was definitely onto something with this platoon, which despite having more than a few overcast moments, is advantage exploring. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tracklist: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- — 01.
