Reviews ~~~~~~~ By Grego Applegate Edwards Chicago saxophone matchless Dave Rempis continues on with his praiseworthy series of recordings on his Aerophonic mark with a connect of new releases. Up today is the Rempis/Daisy Duo and their Second Springtime (Aerophonic 003). Dave gets a lot of music out of his alto, sense and baritone saxophones; Tim Daisy responds in warm on drums/percussion. Both are key members of a Chicago platoon of avant jazz musicians who be inclined to de-emphasize delay together. We've heard from many of them in various configurations on these pages, but never these two in duo. It usually helps in these detailed situations if the players know each other's playing well, if they have shell out a favourable arrangement of all at once playing together. That's certainly the took place with Dave and Tim. The euphonious sympathies are there to learn in these improvised sequences. This is informal blowing of favourable provenance--they come from inspired places within and the mettle-strike one does not check off. Both played why they are fully themselves and in-ask for players on the Chicago avant spot. Second Springtime showcases Rempis and Daisy in tremendous imagine. It is a straightforward blowing romp that gets rolling from the start and does not tarry until the last adage is played. Scrutinize it out and get some favourable sounds! -- By Tom Burris <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a By Derek Taylor By Glenn Astarita <a href=" again-by-glenn-astarita.php« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow" again-by-glenn-astarita.php</a Guy Peters (nl) <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a Par Guillaume Belhomme (fr)
