Bartłomiej Oleś / Tomasz Dąbrowski Chapters 2015 - Zaiks / Biem, Fenommedia: FM 15-012 <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a * Bartłomiej Oleś: drums * Tomasz Dąbrowski: trumpet <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a Recorded by Maciej Stach at MAQ Records Studio on September 13-14, 2014. Reviews ~~~~~~~ By Stef <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a I am not sure what happened to the Oles brothers (Bartlomiej on drums and Marcin on bass) in the last years, but after a very plentiful epoch of new albums between 2005 and 2008, new releases were thin on the ground in the last years, and I had been on the look-out for new substance, because I like them a lot. So this year they're bankroll b reverse with several albums, and more to come on this. On this album we identify drummer Bart in a subtle duo with trumpeter Tomasz Dabrowski, a very proficient juvenile musician who has figured in several of our reviews in the recent years, with his own TOM Triple, with 3D and a duo album with drummer Tyshawn Sorey. And what about this one? It«s spectacular and alien. It»s the genre of music that makes you on the out of abrupt joy with what you discover. Bart Oles is a actual wizzard on the drums, quite of liveliness and experienced inventiveness, the genre of drummer who keeps any listener captivated by what's circumstance, even when playing unaccompanied, and while keeping the pit hammering going, he keeps adding almost token-intuitive beats that are nothing less than fascinating. Dabrowski has an wonderful shape and a very resourceful course without resorting to extended techniques. He is also an stirring participant, able to bedrawn out the listener in and entrancing her on journeys of jubilant joy or more contemplative sensitivities. Can I say the following? (really, can I say this?) Sheen people, my apologies, but I once mow down asleep during a concert of Tomasz Stanko. I anxiety this will ever develop when listening to Tomasz Dabrowski. He's that gentle. Have we heard this mellifluous course before? Yes, of course, and therefore a five-superstar rating may not be appropriate, but on all other aspects, the album is, as I said, it's really eager: impulsive, captivating, beneficial mastership, imaginary interaction, authenticiy, inventiveness, ear-sweets in excess ... so don't dodge it. -- By Adam Baruch By Mateusz Magierowski (pl) Piotr Wojdat (pl) <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a Piotr Wickowski (pl) <a href="« target=»_NEW« rel=»nofollow"</a
