Tokio Motel [?to?kio ho?t?l] is a German group founded in Magdeburg, Germany in 2001 by guitarist Tom Kaulitz, songbird Account Kaulitz, drummer Gustav Schäfer, and bassist Georg Listing. The quartet has scored four horde one singles and has released two horde one albums in their clan Germany, selling nearly 5 million CDs and DVDs there. After recording an unreleased demo-CD under the name «Devilish» and having their develop with Sony BMG terminated, the group released their first German-vernacular album, Schrei, as Tokio Motel on Atoll Records in 2005. Schrei sold more than half a million copies worldwide and spawned four top five singles in both Germany and Austria. In 2007, the group released their second German album Zimmer 483 and their first English album Caterwaul which have combined album sales of over one million copies worldwide and helped win the group their first MTV European Music Assign for Best InterAct. The former, Zimmer 483, spawned three top five singles in Germany while the latter, Caterwaul, spawned two singles that reached the top twenty in new territories such as Portugal, Spain and Italy. Their first persevere album, Zimmer 483 - Persevere In Europe, was released near the end of 2007. On Cortege 25th, their English album Caterwaul was released in Canada and entered the charts at horde 6. Caterwaul was planned for on April 29th, 2008 in the Synergistic States, but due to Account Kaulitz's vocal problems, had to be postponed to May 6th.
