Who were the Anakim Nephilim_
Watcher (Aramaic, עִיר, iyr; Theodotian trans: ir; from the set of Heb. `er, "awake, watchful";[1] Gk. ἐγρήγοροι, trans: egrḗgoroi; Slav transliteration, Grigori,[2] "Watchers", "those who are awake"; Chaldean, "guard", "watcher"[3]) is a appellation used in joining with biblical angels. Watcher occurs in both plural and peculiar forms in the Work of Daniel (2nd century BC), where quotation is made to their holiness. The apocryphal Books of Enoch (1st and 2nd centuries BC) refer to both effects and bad Watchers, with a beginning concentration on the recalcitrant ones.

In the Work of Daniel 4:13, 17, 23[4] there are three references to the division of "watcher, reverential one" (watcher, Aramaic `iyr; reverential one, Aramaic qaddiysh). The appellation is introduced by Nebuchadnezzar who says he saw "a watcher, a reverential one come down (peculiar verb) from firmament." He describes how in his delusion the watcher says that Nebuchadnezzar will eat rat and be mad and that this just deserts is "by the promulgation of the Watchers, the customer acceptance wanted by the parley of the Reverential Ones" — "the living may know that the Most Altered Consciousness rules in the monarchy of men." After hearing the king's delusion Daniel considers for an hour and then responds:

"And whereas the prince saw a watcher, a reverential one coming down from firmament, and saying, Hew the tree down, and overthrow it; yet check out the dumbfound of the roots thereof in the mother terra, even with a line of iron and impudence, in the kind rat of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of firmament, and [let] his divvy up [be] with the beasts of the lea, dig seven times archaic over him; This is the diagnosis, O prince, and this is the promulgation of the most Altered Consciousness, which is come upon my nobleman the prince."[5]

Lutheran Protestant reformer Johann Wigand viewed the watcher in Nebuchadnezzar's delusion as either God himself, or the Son of God. He promoted Trinitarian opinion by linking verse 17 ("This argument is by the promulgation of the watchers") with verse 24 ("this is the promulgation of the most High").[6]

Lay scholars vista these "watchers, reverential ones" as perhaps showing an pressure of Babylonian belief, that is an try by the prime mover of this stage of Daniel to current Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian gods recognizing the power of the god of Israel as "Most Altered Consciousness."[7] The Greek Septuagint construction differs from the Aramaic Massoretic Printed Argument: for example, the Aramaic printed argument is unclear about who is too revealing the report of verse 14, whether it is Nebuchadnezzar himself, or the watcher in his delusion.[8]
Books of Enoch

In the Books of Enoch, the first Work of Enoch devotes much of its prominence to the take on of the Watchers. The Second Work of Enoch addresses the Watchers (Gk. egrḗgoroi) who are in fifth firmament where the take on took estate. The Third Work of Enoch gives prominence to the unfallen Watchers.[9]

The use of the appellation "Watchers" is joint in the Work of Enoch. The Work of the Watchers (1 Enoch 6-36) occurs in the Aramaic fragments with the prepositional phrase irin we-qadishin, "Watchers and Reverential Ones", a quotation to Aramaic Daniel.[10] The Aramaic irin "watchers" is rendered as "angel" (Greek angelos, Coptic malah) in the Greek and Ethiopian translations, although the common Aramaic appellation for angel malakha does not surface in Aramaic Enoch.[11] The dating of this stage of 1 Enoch is around 2nd — 1st Century BC. This work is based on one diagnosis of the Sons of God prepositional phrase in Genesis 6, according to which angels married with sensitive females, giving go uphill to a folk of hybrids known as the Nephilim. The appellation irin is at bottom applied to wayward Watchers who numbered a perfect of 200, and of whom their leaders are named, but equally Aramaic iri ("watcher" peculiar) is also applied to the timid archangels who confine them, such as Raphael (1 Enoch 22:6).

Work of Enoch

In the Work of Enoch, the Watchers (Aramaic. עִירִין, iyrin), are angels dispatched to Mother Terra to wary of over the humans. They soon rather commence to ache for for sensitive women and, at the prodding of their gaffer Samyaza, insufficiency en masse to illicitly drill mercy and procreate among them. The seed of these unions are the Nephilim, demonic giants who piracy the mother terra and put at risk mercy. Samyaza and his associates further taught their sensitive charges arts and technologies such as weaponry, cosmetics, mirrors, black, and other techniques that would otherwise be discovered evenly over but by humans, not foisted upon them all at once. When All Is Said God allows a Basic D to rid the mother terra of the Nephilim, but first sends Uriel to on guard Noah so as not to eradicate the sensitive folk. The Watchers are fixed "in the valleys of the Earth" until Judgment Day. (Jude verse 6 says that these fallen angels are kept "in permanent chains under darkness" until Perspicacity Day.)

The chiefs of tens, listed in the Work of Enoch, are as follows:

7. And these are the names of their leaders: Sêmîazâz, their gaffer, Arâkîba, Râmêêl, Kôkabîêl, Tâmîêl, Râmîêl, Dânêl, Êzêqêêl, Barâqîjâl, Asâêl, Armârôs, Batârêl, Anânêl, Zaqîêl, Samsâpêêl, Satarêl, Tûrêl, Jômjâêl, Sariêl. 8. These are their chiefs of tens.
—R. H. Charles transference, The Work of the Watchers, Chapter VI.

The work of Enoch also lists leaders of the 200 fallen angels who married and commenced in abnormal alliance with sensitive women, and who taught forbidden schooling. Some are also listed in Work of Raziel (Sefer Raziel HaMalakh), the Zohar, and Jubilees.

Araqiel (also Arakiel, Araqael, Araciel, Arqael, Sarquael, Arkiel, Arkas) taught humans the signs of the mother terra. However, in the Sibylline Oracles, Araqiel is referred to not as a fallen angel, or Watcher, but as one of the 5 angels who paramount the souls of men to perspicacity, the other 4 being Ramiel, Uriel, Samiel, and Azazel.

Armaros (also Amaros) in Enoch I taught men the resolving of enchantments.

Azazel taught men to cause knives, swords, shields, and how to frame ornaments and cosmetics.

Gadreel taught the art of cosmetics, the use of weapons and destruction blows. It was he who led Eve astray in the garden of eden.[citation needed]
Baraqel (Baraqiel) taught men astrology
Bezaliel mentioned in Enoch I, leftist out of most translations because of damaged manuscripts and uncertain transport of the printed argument.

Chazaqiel (sometimes Ezeqeel or Cambriel) taught men the signs of the clouds (meteorology).

Kokabiel (also Kakabel, Kochbiel, Kokbiel, Kabaiel, and Kochab), In the Work of Raziel he is a altered consciousness-ranking, reverential angel. In Enoch I, he is a fallen Watcher, inhabitant of the nether realms, and commands 365,000 surrogate spirits to do his command. Among other duties, he instructs his fellows in astrology.

Penemue "taught mankind the art of script with ink and legal papers," and taught "the children of men the distressful and the sentimental and the secrets of wisdom." (I Enoch 69.8)
Sariel (also Suriel) taught mankind about the courses of the moon (at one but regarded as forbidden schooling).

Samyaza (also Shemyazaz, Shamazya, Semiaza, Shemhazi, Semyaza and Amezyarak) is one of the leaders of the take on from firmament in Vocabulaire de l' Angelologie.

Shamsiel, once a custodian of Eden as stated in the Zohar, served as one of the two chief aides to the archangel Uriel (the other comrade being Hasdiel) when Uriel tap his ideal into affray, and is the faculty of 365 legions of angels and also crowns prayers, accompanying them to the 5th firmament. In Jubilees, he is referred to as one of the Watchers. He is a fallen angel who teaches the signs of the sun.

Yeqon (also Jeqon or Yaqum, יָקוּם, "he shall rise") was the ringleader who first tempted the other Watchers into having lustful relations with humans. His accomplices were Asbeel, Gadreel, Penemue, and Kasdaye (or Kasadya). Together, they were known as the Five Satans.

The account of the Work of Enoch has been associated with the prepositional phrase in Genesis 6:1-4, which speaks of Sons of God instead of Watchers:

When men began to multiply on mother terra and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw how delightful the daughters of man were, and so they took for their wives as many of them as they chose. Then the Nobleman said: "My zeal shall not leftovers in man forever, since he is but kith. His days shall comprise one hundred and twenty years." At that but the Nephilim appeared on mother terra (as well as later), after the sons of God had interaction with the daughters of man, who tap them sons. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown.

The Work of Enoch (also 1 Enoch[1]; Ge'ez: መጽሐፈ ሄኖክ mäts'hafä henok) is an past Jewish spiritual-minded trade, traditionally ascribed to Enoch, the basic-grandfather of Noah. It is not pull apart of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Received Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Received Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian group.

The older sections (mainly in the Work of the Watchers) are estimated to appointment from about 300 B.C., and the latest pull apart (Work of Parables) probably was composed at the end of the first century B.C.[2]

It is totally extant only in the Ge'ez lingo, with Aramaic fragments from the Obsolete Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. For this and other reasons, the old Ethiopian axiom is that the creative lingo of the trade was Ge'ez, whereas non-Ethiopian scholars nurse to assert that it was first written in either Aramaic or Hebrew; E. Isaac suggests that the Work of Enoch, like the Work of Daniel, was composed to some extent in Aramaic and to some extent in Hebrew.[3]:6 No Hebrew construction is known to have survived.

The authors of the New Testament were commonplace with the pleased of the report and influenced by it:[4] a bluff stage of 1 Enoch (1 En 1:9) is quoted in the New Testament (Symbol of Jude 1:14–15), and is attributed there to "Enoch the Seventh from Adam" (1 En 60:8). The printed argument was also utilised by the community that in the first estate unruffled the Obsolete Sea Scrolls.
