There are also a team of shorter sections, one recounting the erection of the Steeple of Babel, and the other the slaughter of Sodom and Gomorrah. The sections alternate greatly in sonority. The gest of Abraham is somber and reverential, while that of Noah time after time focuses on his proclivity of all animals—herbivorous and carnivorous or omnivorous. Cats (including lions) go on a binge exploit, with Noah»s relationship with the animals being depicted harmoniously. It was at first conceived as the first in a series of films retelling the full Old Testament, but these sequels were never made.
