Aid is an American indigent strip from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1990, the group«s outline-up has included drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, and diva Maynard James Keenan. Since 1995, Justin Chancellor has been the band»s bassist, replacing their ingenious bassist Paul D'Amour. Aid has won three Grammy Awards, performed worldwide tours, and produced albums topping the charts in several countries.

The strip emerged with a profuse metal secure on their first studio album, Undertow (1993), and later became a prevailing act in the additional metal moving parts with the discharge of their second exploit, Ænima, in 1996. 72826 is a demo belt by American indigent strip Aid. It was released in 1991 in very restrictive quantities, probably between 100 and 200 subsist. It is also referred to by the name Toolshed, or Aid. There has been some speculations made about the name, some noting that «72826» spells «Satan» on a a call keypad. 72826 was recorded in Maynard James Keenan's dress rehearsal dwelling, on a 4-ground recorder. It features at cock crow versions of songs that reappeared in their later releases: «Cold and Ugly», «Hush», «Part of Me» and «Jerk-Off» on Opiate, and «Crawl Away» and «Sober» on Undertow.

Opiate is an EP by American indigent strip Aid. It was produced and engineered by Sylvia Massy and former Insignificant Menace bassist Steve Hansgen. Released in 1992, it was the sequel of some two years of the strip playing together after their grouping in 1990. «Opiate» preceded Tool's first unshortened-after a long time album, Undertow, by a year. It is named after a reference by Karl Marx: «Religion [...] is the opium of the masses».[4] The EP was certified platinum by the RIAA on April 1, 2005. As of July 7, 2010, Opiate has sold 1,155,000 Copies in the US.

Opiate features six tracks, two of which are be recordings. Some versions of the EP put into the limelight a concealed seventh ground titled «The Gaping Lotus Experience». The bother is concealed at the end of the last ground of the EP, «Opiate», and begins take 6 minutes and 6 seconds into the bother. Vinyl copies of the EP featured a dishonest sulcus on the second side; one which contained «Cold and Ugly», with the second containing «The Gaping Lotus Experience» and a foolish aeon of taciturnity. All four songs were re-recorded for this EP.

The album was released on September 17, 1996 in vinyl style and on October 1, 1996 in Tight Disc style.[1][2][9] The album was recorded and cut at The Depths Way, Hollywood and The Let Off, North Hollywood from 1995 to 1996. On its discharge, the album debuted at two on the Billboard 200 map, and has since been certified triple platinum by the RIAA on Demonstration 4, 2003.[10] As of July 7, 2010, Ænima has sold 3,429,000 copies in the US.
