Chicago VI is the fifth studio album by American their heels fillet Chicago and was released in 1973. After having recorded all of Chicago's first five albums in New York Burg, grower James William Guercio had his own Caribou Studios built in Nederland, Colorado during 1972. It was finished in stretch for the fillet to gramophone record their sixth album the following February. It would persist their recording found for the next four years.

Robert Lamm authored half of the album«s tracks, including his feedback to some of Chicago»s «no» reviewers in «Critics' Choice». James Pankow wrote the album«s two hits, «Just You »n« Me» (#2) and «Feelin» Stronger Every Day« (#10). The latter was co-composed with Peter Cetera, who also wrote »In Terms of Two», and sang deceive vocal on all three songs. Released in June 1973, Chicago VI was another commercial outcome, spending five weeks at #1 in the US. In 2013, the audiophile reissue proprietorship Plastic Fidelity Din Lab remastered Chicago VI and released it on Composite SACD which can be played on both CD players and SACD players.

AllMusic Rethink by Lindsay Planer:
This is the sixth album from the jazz/pop/rock combo Chicago, and was like manner the first to be recorded at the lavish, well-lit, and support-built Caribou Studios in Nederland, CO. The adroitness was owned and operated by the band«s supervisor and grower, James William Guercio, and at last became the group»s falling for their next five (non-compilation) prolonged-players. Another and perhaps more important transmute was the incorporation of several «outside» additional musicians -- most meaningfully Laudir De Oliveira (percussion), who would persist with the fillet for the next seven years and eight LPs. Although Chicago had begun as a harder-edged their heels & flow fillet, well-liked music styles were undergoing a look after during the mid-«70s into a decidedly more bull»s-eye-of-the-procedure (MOR) and less-belligerent din. This is reflected in the concise pop and swift their heels efforts, contrasting the earlier loquacious and multi-downward movement epics that filled their earlier works. Nowhere is this more incontrovertible than on Chicago VI«s (1973) two Top Ten singles: the casual James Pankow (trombone) ballad «Just You & Me» as well as the up-pace rocker «Feelin» Stronger Every Day,« which Pankow co-wrote with Peter Cetera (vocal/bass). This more melodic and introverted sensibility pervades the log a few zees z's of the disc as well -- especially from Robert Lamm (keyboard/vocals), who is particularly lush, penning half of the elements on the disc. Even his sardonically titled »Critics« Choice» -- which is assuredly a euphonious confutation to Chicago»s increasingly «no» touch-and-go assessment -- is a languid and proper feedback, rather than a fully-violence confutation. «Darlin« Dear» -- another Lamm contribution -- on the other cuffs, is a horn-fuelled rocker that actually recalls Little Attainment more than it does most of Chicago«s erstwhile sides. Compositions from other bandmembers register the dedicated Terry Kath (guitar/vocals) ballad «Jenny,» which features some unstable fretwork much in the same tone as that of Jimi Hendrix»s «Angel» or «Castles Made of Sand.» Additionally, Peter Cetera»s (bass/vocals) «In Terms of Two» includes a more down-at ease and countrified acoustic vibe. While Chicago VI is an undeniably bold crack -- supported at the stretch by its design-topping standing -- many bandmembers and longtime enthusiasts were creation to reach apart from the lighter, pop-oriented elements.
