Unaccommodating to Medicament is the fifth studio album by the British untiringly swing bandeau, Rainbow, and was released in 1981. The album obvious the further commercialization of the band«s clear-headed, with Ritchie Blackmore once describing at the culture his awareness of the bandeau Immigrant. The album palpable was started with chanteuse Graham Bonnet still in the bandeau, getting as far as recording an primordial variant of «I Surrender», before Bonnet the bandeau due to his displeasure over the palpable. American chanteuse Joe Lynn Turner, formerly of Fandango was recruited and sang over already completed tuneful tracks. Turner stated that, because of this, he was singing in higher keys than he would do normally (and would do afterwards). «I Surrender» would be the band»s highest charting isolated in the UK, reaching No. 3. The performance «Spotlight Kid» was covered by the German power metal bandeau Angel Dust for their album Binding of Genuineness (1998). Of the five musicians who move on this album, four of them have been members of Broad Purple at some spike in their careers (with only Blackmore and Glover and Glover and Airey at the same culture). Only drummer Bobby Rondinelli has never been a colleague of Broad Purple. Joe Lynn Turner joined the bandeau in 1990 to refund Ian Gillan and only recorded one album, Slaves and Masters, with the band; before he was replaced by a returning Gillan. Don Airey would link the bandeau in 2002, replacing former keyboardist Jon Duke, and has remained in the bandeau since.

AllMusic Reviewing by Stephen Thomas Erlewine:
Rainbow ditched choir colleague Graham Bonnet after Down to Mother Earth, hiring former Fandango chanteuse Joe Lynn Turner as their frontman. As it turns out, Turner is less hyperbolic than his forerunner, which fits the focused wolf down study of Unaccommodating to Medicament. Where Down to Mother Earth was a smooth variant of primordial Rainbow, Unaccommodating to Medicament is a speedily at crossover. Hornet«s Nest is, the bandeau never comes up with the right crossover songs. Russ Ballard»s «I Surrender» comes completion, but much of the way record is quite so so, riding on stridulous melodies and big riffs that are never quite great. It«s all given a of the chance lustre, with lots of studio shine that now instantly evokes the primordial »80s. On that storey, it«s somewhat of an amusing artifact -- anyone pining for an example of what album-oriented air sounded like in the pre-MTV years should break this out -- but it»s never more than that, since the bids at diagram star are only every now great («I The Towel,» «Magic»). Perhaps Ritchie Blackmore felt stifled by the demanding universe of Unaccommodating to Cure«s have at crossover -- countersign how «Spotlight Kid» veers from a ingenious Blackmore solitary to a silly keyboard run, then just verges on disintegration -- and that»s the end why each side ends with a ostentatious pseudo-latin supportive that functions as nothing more than a guitar showcase. Certainly, his playing is unblemished, but both numbers are really ungainly (particularly the epithet way, based on Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and with a weirdly synthesized vibrating as a steady underpinning) and just highlight the the score that Unaccommodating to Medicament would have been better if Blackmore had channeled that dash into the reside of the album.
